“Thomas de Holles departed this life in 1421, and the Inquisition taken on his death at Newport shewed that he was seized of the same portions of the above manors that his father had possessed … and that Margaret, his daughter aged two years, was next heir. She married John Troutbeck, and, he dying in 1459, it was found (Inq. 37 Henry VI., No. 21) that Sir William Troutbeck was his next heir. He died the next year 1460, and by Inquisition taken at Newport, it was found that he was seized of the manor of Albryghton … and moieties of the manors of Fordesham and Newport and a third part of the manor of Edgmund … Sir William Troutbeck was succeeded by his son. William, aged 10 years, who was subsequently knighted, but dying soon after in 1511 an Inquisition was taken at Shuffenhalle, October 20th, 3 Henry VIII., 1512, when it was found he was seized of a moiety of the Ville and Burgh of Newport, held by fealty … He died 10th November of last year, and that Margaret, wife of John Talbot, Esq., was cousin and next heir, being daughter of Adam Troutbeck, brother of the said William and aged 18 years. John Talbot by this marriage had a son John (who died 1556) ancestor of the Talbots of Albrighton, and of the subsequent Earls of Shrewsbury. 1.2.1.2.1.1. Thomas Holland, bapt. May 15, 1648, bur. Dec. 29, 1694, in Neen Savage, m. Elizabeth Kettleby, on April 19, 1678. The register shows they had two sons, but, because of their incompleteness, the possibility of of them being the parents of Michael Holland of Goochland has to be considered.

“Now know yee that I ye sd Sir Will Berkeley knt. give and graunt unto Richard Womack foure hundred and fivety acres, three rood eight po: of land on ye North side of Appomatock River in Henrico Co. extending as followeth beginning at a small branch of ye Ashen Swampe … No: by We: 34 po: No: We: 60 po: to Mr. Baugh his line neigh ye Round Slash No: No: We: 15 po: to *Major Harris his cornor, We: by So: 380 po: to ye place aforementioned the sd land being due unto ye sd Richard Womack by and for ye transportacon of nine persons into this Collony”. This leads to the very heart of this Harris kinship network. Henry Baugh, as follows, was also the second-cousin of Edward Baugh, who m. Constance Foliot, dau. of Thomas Foliot, Sheriff of Worcestershire, and Katherine Ligon, dau. of the said William Ligon and Eleanor Dennis.
