Robert Lancaster Sr’s son, Robert Jr., was the father of William Lancaster, who m. (1) … Moreland, probably a sister of Bartlet Moreland, (2) … Wombwell. William Lancaster was the father of Lawrence Lancaster, d. 1792, Warren Co., who m. Mary Williams. 9 May 1751, Lawrence Lancaster of IOW in Nottoway Parish and Solomon Delke of same place to divide sd. land that formerly did belong to Edward Moreland, decd; we pledge in sum of 50 pounds … quanity of land falling to Solomon Delke is 85 ac.; wit: Thomas Pretlow, Robert Lancaster, Samuel Lancaster, Joseph Pittman, Arthur Williams. Robert Lancaster Jr’s sister m. Thomas Pittman.

1.1.2.2.1. William Harris, bapt. 13 Apr. 1657, Wiveliscombe, probably he who m. (2) the widow Margaret Taylor. His granddaughter, Mary, married her son, Thomas Taylor, father of Harris Taylor. Her Will, proved 20 Sept 1721, named daughter Margaret, wife of Bartlett Moreland, and granddaughter Elizabeth Judkins. 1690-1691 [March last] a Bristoll Ship, Captain William Jones, Comander, brought William Cripps 13 years, servant to Mr. William Brown & Edward Line age 16 [years], servant to Edward Moreland, father of Bartlet Moreland: Thomas Joyner (brother of Bridgeman Joyner, guardian of an orphan of Thomas Harris, d. 1688) was granted 300 ac. in Isle of Wight County on S side of the main blackwater due by and for the transportacon of 6 persons into this Colony whose names are Samuel Gridley, Abraham Morris, Mathew Christian, Peter Martin, Bartlet Moreland, Edwd. Inglish. (Book 9 p. 469, 28 October 1702).
1.1.2.3. Thomas Harris, m. Judith Blake, 20 Nov. 1623, almost certainly he who died in Virginia in 1672. Thomas Harris was the cousin of Richard Bennet, whose first wife was Anne, who was Charles Barham’s sister (see Douglas Richardson, ‘Plantagenet Ancestry’). Thomas Harris and Charles Barham were involved in the Will of William Ridley.

Elias Forte was very likely to have been of this family. He was on a jury on Oct. 9, 1667, when he signed his mark on a document of a coroner’s jury investigating the death of William Persons, in IOW. The Westbrookes intermarried with the Persons – a John Westbrooke m. Lucy Person, c. 1775.
